cuando los factores contaminantes del proceso de compostaje molecular como los productos químicos, los compuestos plásticos, las sales minerales, los mohos, etc. se apoderan de los procesos orgánicos que supuestamente forman el humus, los procesos de descomposición y transformación se desequilibran.
¿es el compost una utopía de progreso para quienes no sufren la contaminación?
trazamos historias de descomposición distorsionada, de desbordamiento de calor, de fantasmas ausentes en el agua, de contaminantes a la espera de reparación. intervenimos local y remotamente con arenas y vidrios en el proceso de compostaje que conforma las historias translocales del extractivismo neocolonial, las ecologías oscuras y la violencia lenta molecular. diferentes contribuciones sobre la ficción de cuerpos de mercurio, arena, corales alquímicos y turbias cuentas de vidrio - formando conglomerados tecno-políticos a través del lenguaje, el sonido, el tacto, el calor, la paciencia, el silencio y la lenta transformación.

¿cómo responde un paisaje a 1.000 años de distancia a los lentos procesos de violencia del extractivismo en el presente?
sus bancos de arena se han disuelto, los cangrejos se han escondido en cuevas. junto con el agua, las bacterias y las algas, convierten las rocas en tierra.
la arena ha sido "secuestrada" a gran escala.
convertirse en piedra
arena de cuarzo, arena de juego, arena de mina... la arena se encuentra en el cemento de las viviendas, y en las vías respiratorias de los habitantes. la lluvia la arrastra de vuelta al río. las arenas están por todas partes, y en zonas de enorme calor - la arena puede fundirse en vidrio. las toxinas ambientales se difunden en la arena, petrificándola hasta convertirla en una isla - nadie se atreve a moverla o tocarla.
pero, ¿cómo convertir la contaminación en abono?

quartz sand, play sand, mining sand ... sand is found in the cement of the dwellings, and in the respiratory tracts of the inhabitants. the rain washes it back into the river. sands are everywhere, and in zones of enormous heat - sand can melt into glass. environmental toxins diffuse into the sand, petrifying it into an island - no one dares move or touch it.
but how do you turn contamination into compost?
