los procesos que clonfuyen y atraviesan esta página derivan de la pregunta por formas mutables de escucha, esculpidas en resonancia con manifestaciones divergentes del tejido socioecológico planetario del cual somos parte. reconociendo la fluidez, la heterogeneidad, lo difuso, lo turbio, el cambio y la interdependencia como componentes inherentes de dicho tejido, estos procesos se entrelazan con diversas onto-espistemologías y afectos iterando, plasmando, imaginando y proponiendo técnicas de encuentros interespecíficos.

the processes converging and traversing this site stem from the inquiry into mutable forms of listening, sculpted in resonance with divergent manifestations of the planetary socio-ecological fabric of which we are part. acknowledging fluidity, heterogeneity, diffuseness, disturbance, motion and interdependence as inherent components of this fabric, these processes intertwine with diverse onto-epistemologies and affects, iterating, imagining, and enacting technics of interpecific encounter.

indócil, un recuerdo de las aguas de los sueños; la lluvia desborda imaginarios fijos de una mercancía, una mera sustancia: h2o.

cuando cesa la lluvia, quedan rastros.

¿cómo podemos escuchar estos rastros? ¿qué historias han dejado las lluvias en nuestro interior? ¿qué nos dicen las lluvias? ¿cómo podemos escuchar los ecos de la lluvia?

la lluvia, una de las innumerables manifestaciones del agua, desvela una dimensión adicional de interconectividad, vislumbrando diversos órdenes de existencia y saberes, conectando paisajes aparentemente distantes, y dando lugar a narrativas que exceden fronteras y demarcaciones entre cuerpos.

leyendo lluvias busca profundizar la conciencia de las intrincadas conexiones entre los aspectos simbólicos, materiales y afectivos de la lluvia como un ecotono líquido. las conversaciones y relaciones con el agua fueron fomentadas al explorar sus múltiples manifestaciones y sus rastros como recuerdos. historias de fusión, relación, resonancia, conformación y ser conformado por el entorno de aterrizaje:

leyendo sedimentos -los rastros de la lluvia- como un intermediario dinámico de adivinanza e interpretación de enigmas y sueños; como cosecha, recolección y recopilación de historias.

escucha como una gota de lluvia.

los recuerdos sónicos de las experiencias y el proceso fueron compartidos y entretejidos en una partitura colectiva que se filtraba a través de las grietas del cuenco contenedor de lluvia floating university; una hidrocartografía sónica compuesta como sesión de escucha, donde las múltiples expresiones de la presencia y ausencia del agua fueron comprendidas a través de este proceso, llevando a una percepción colaborativa y a sonidos de futuros posibles. la pieza cosecha y composta estas historias acuosas, diluyéndose juntas a través de procesos de audio binaural semi-generativos activados mientras se camina en el cuenco de floating, recreando paisajes sonoros de lluvia, de pasados y futuros posibles en constante transformación.

indocile, a remembrance of the waters of dreams;

rain overflows fixed imaginaries of a commodity, a mere substance: h2o. When rain ceases, traces are left behind.

how may we listen to these traces? what stories have the rains left within us? what does rain(s) tell us? how may we listen to the echoes of rain?

rain, one of water’s countless manifestations, unveils a further dimension of interconnectivity, exposing glimpses into diverse orders of existence and knowledges, connecting presumably disparate realms, and giving birth to narratives that exceed borders and demarcations between bodies.

reading rains seeks to deepen awareness of the intricate connections between the symbolic, material, and affective aspects of rain as a liquid ecotone. conversations and relations with water were fostered by exploring its multiple manifestations and their traces as memories. stories of merging, relating, resonating, shaping and being shaped by the landing environment:

reading sediments -the rain’s traces- as a dynamic intermediary of guessing and interpreting riddles and dreams; as harvesting, gathering and collecting stories.

listen as a raindrop.

sonic remembrances of the experiences and process were shared and weaved together into a collective score leaking through the basin’s rifts; a compos(t)ed sonic hydrocartography as listening session, where the multiple expressions of water’s presence and absence were comprehended through this process, leading to collaborative sensing and sounds of possible futures. The piece harvests and composts these watery stories, diluting together through semi-generative binaural audio processes activated while walking in the basin, re-creating ever-morphing rainy soundscapes.
